Bristol Jr League Tourn
As predicted Bristol Vs Gate City Wed. July 4th at 1:00pm. Should be a great game. Gate City won in a nail biter 5-4 over Washington County and Bristol beat Glade 10-0 with a great pitching performance from Josh Paolucci. Lsten to these stats for pitching. 90 pitches thrown 69 strikes, 21 balls, 10 strike outs, 1 walk and 5 scatterd hits in 7 innings thrown. Not bad. Looking forward to seeing you devils tommorow, always a lot of fun.

we are going to give it our best shot tomorrow. we just have not played much in a month and it showed monday night. that was a super pitching performance by paolucci. bristol is definitely the team to beat and we are really young but you never know about the game of baseball. the ballfield looked outstanding monday night. it looked as good as a minor league field. see you tomorrow on the 4th catnstripes...

Re: Bristol Jr League Tourn
It did turn out to be a great game with Bristol coming out on top 8-2. The game was much closer than the score indicates. The score was 3-2 after 5 innings. Good pithching duel between Bristol's McCall(3 hits allowed) and Gate City's Hughes(6 hits allowed). These two will face each other a lot in the future.

Re: Bristol Jr League Tourn
it was a dandy of a game.gate city's second baseman made a great play in the 6th inning that really changed the outlook of the game.the runner was out but i think the umpire thought he had to tag him because the ball should have got past the second baseman and i think the umpire got confused. don't think that cost us the game but it took a lot of momentum out of us.. the game before washington county pulled off a triple play to end the game.that had to be an espn top play nominee...

Not as strong as the other age groups. It hurt them this year that two of the all star selections were going to be away on vacation and couldn't play and, also, two others chose not to play. If I'm not mistaken, in the round robin tournament of Area 2 they went 1-3...beat Rye Cove and lost to Abingdon, Washington County and Bristol. I didn't watch any games so maybe someone else can offer something on this.
